RITE OF PASSAGE

Contemporary Rites of Passage is the ultimate form of personal and team development.

This seminar is an opportunity for educational and other professional bodies to understand how they can adopt or incorporate one of the oldest technologies known to man.

“Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional"

Consider if you will your own early teenage years.  Did you feel comfortable in your body?  Were you inspired about your future?  Was there someone there to answer all your deepest questions?  Did you feel at ease with members of the opposite sex?

Or were you like the vast majority of people who struggled through those years battling a mixture of loneliness, confusion, depression and sheer frustration. Did you also pray for the time when it would all end and you would finally grow up, feel like an adult and start living the life you’d dreamed of with all that other stuff left far behind in your past?

RAISING TEENAGERS

Growing up – moving from childhood to adulthood. This is one of life’s most difficult transitions, where it should be one of the most exciting and positive times of a child’s life. For many, the shift from teen to adult is too big to do alone.

Aimed at education providers and parents these seminars deliver valuable tools that can be implemented in the home and school settings. The talks focus on boys and/or girls between the ages of 12 and 15 years. The seminar is not for the children themselves to attend.

Specific topics covered in the talk include;

  • The changing needs of boys and/or girls as they approach adulthood
  • Boundary setting
  • How to keep them safe
  • How to Discipline teenagers
  • Practical parenting tips

“I found the Rites of Passage talk to be absolutely inspiring. It was obvious that there was a great understanding of the needs of adolescents and that much research has gone into working out a process to enhance the development of our young people."
